Watched the Glen Campbell special last night.

He now has Alzheimer's disease and can't perform any more. The show was about him losing his memory and how it affected him in daily life and during the shows.

Very informative show and really shows first hand what this does to people. Such a talented performer and and overall good guy.

Saw him live in 2007 at the Riverside Casino here in Laughlin, Nevada. Great show and he has so many hit songs. He can really play the guitar. We always talked about going to see him again before he retired, but we never did.

I watched that too. Great documentary. Man, he could play the guitar! Bummed that I never really knew how good he was until recently.

one of my childhood "go to" musicians. he used to be the host of the LA Open golf tournament at riviera every year. he also had a weekly variety show. my dad was very involved with country music at the time and used to hang around the set. got us in to see a taping one time. roy clark was one of the guests and he and glen played together. it was outstanding.

His kids also play with him. Really a family band. His daughter is really good at the guitar and plays the banjo real well. She has posted a song that's a tribute to her dad. I think it's the one they played at the end of the show.

Finished the first season of True Detective.  Great show.  The back and forth between Harrelson and Mcconaughey was what really made the show.

One of my wife and I's more favorite humorous scene is when the Mcconaughey character has returned Harrelson's lawn mower.  Harrelson's character is bent because the guy mowed his lawn.

My wife was asking if they were really talking about lawn mowing or something completely different.

lol.

My favorite line was "you are the Michael Jordan of son of a bitches."

I just loved how Harrelson's character admired Mcconaughey's character and respected him a ton even with all the oddball stuff.  Really great show, we are going to start on season 2 soon.

Wife and I went and saw Spy last week. I'll give it a B.

Jason Statham is over the top funny. Melissa McCarthy has an unnecessarily foul mouth. The story is familiar but done well.

Terminator: Genisys

In a world where Jurassic World gets a score of something like 6.5-7/10, this is an absolute 8.

This film does not deserve the hate that it's been getting. Of course it's not the equal of either of the first two, but it's FAR superior to the third and fourth installments and stays very much true to the tone of the first two.

I couldn't care less that they blow to sh*t what happened in the first two. Hell, the end of the second film indicates that anything can happen. They did seriously err when it came to marketing this film.

They get right what the last two films didn't: nobody really gives a crap about John Connor's adventure or development: Sarah is the most important character.

Also, Schwarzenneger is pretty damned good here.

Yes, there are loose ends.

Yes, it blows everything to hell.

Yes, it's much better than a 27% Tomatometer film.

I went into this movie with an open mind and I still wouldn't give it above 50%. Mostly because of the actors. Didn't care about Reese, didn't care much about Sarah Connor. Jai Stevens is like Nick Swardson on steroids. Edited by Glen

I watched Peaky Blinders because of the praise it got in this thread as well. And yeah, it's just awesome. I love the setting (both time and place), the acting, and the story itself. And the soundtrack is great. Can't wait for season 3 to show up. Edited by Don
