but it wasn't a great play by Velazquez - he made a great stop and a terrible throw.

I disagree. It's incredibly difficult to make a good throw after making a play like that. If the throw hops two feet further from first the pick should be fairly routine for Walsh.

Routine? Not at all it hit a few feet in front of him. There is a reason Velazquez got an error

Cruz continues to do well despite being horrible this season. Angels baseball

You realize Cruz is one of the biggest Angel killers of all time, right?

Some team could trot his 59 year old ass out there and he'd still hit a bomb against this team.

I fucking hate him. He goes to the NL annnnnd we have to face him again.

If the ball hits the ground the SS will get the error 100% of the time. That said there are good hops and there are bad hops. This was a bad hop but there is a fine line between a good hop and a bad one. A few more feet on the hop and it's probably a good hop. If Walsh picks that it's not any where near as impressive as Andrew's stop, hence why I said "make a play."

yeah we'll have to agree to disagree as I'll stick by that it was a bad throw and not at all on Walsh
