I think Maddon wants him to be long man in back of Detmers

12-7 and that's with them legit throwing the game to Baltimore on Saturday. They were 9-10 at this time last year. Still a lot of room for growth too. Ohtani hasn't done too much with the bat yet and Walsh is slumping

Last minute, a buddy in town invited me to the game.  I think it's the first live game I've been to in at least 4 years.  They had high school bands there doing the national anthem.  Around the 5th, I realized my clothes were older than they were.  Anyways, Trout was still fat.  Ohtani still couldn't get out of the first.  And Rendon didn't hurt himself.  So a pretty fun game.

I missed the game to watch The Batman with my daughters. How'd Ohtani look after the first? Not many Ks.

I thought he was wild.  Didn't settle down till later in the game.  But I was at a bad angle to really tell.

From TV (Gubi) Ohtani looked imperfect, didn’t have feel for his off speed pitches but got his fastball going and made it through 5 without his best stuff.
