I forgot that Ward was included….so it was a bad trade….but Pederson is a better player than Rengifo….until Rengifo proves something…..we might have traded Pederson at the deadline in 20 or signed him to a one year deal in 21 rather than the Cubs…who knows…he’s not a great player but he’s not bad either…….Rengifo isn’t a very good player, so far….

Rengifo has been a better hitter through age 25 at the MLB level than Ward was.  Everyone thought Ward had been given enough chances too.  Sometimes it takes a while, sometimes it never happens, but Rengifo has the skill/talent.  Hopefully he pulls his head out and it comes together because it would be a big boost.  Even if its just as a trade asset.

He was a negative WAR player his last year with the Dodgers and last year.

I watch pretty much every Braves game and he filled a role, although he wasn’t as good as Duvall, Rosario or Soler….It was a good non-trade but it wasn’t a good non-trade because of Rengifo…Eppler guessed right there (so far anyway) but he missed, it appears, on Ward….Our pitching was so bad in 20 and 21 that Stripling wouldn’t have been the worst guy on the staff…

Nope, gonna give the Mad Genius credit when he deserves it.  Perfect game to sit Trout and give reps to both Adell/Marsh.

That shot by Ramirez looked catchable or like Adell was turned around.

After seeing Walsh and Ward bloom late, I’m not throwing him under the bus yet….but with our middle infield right now, you wonder why the guy who saw something in Ward and Walsh didn’t give him a shot this year….maybe he gets it later….Dunno….
