We've seen this a lot with Ohtani as well. My theory is that it is the batters movement in the box that tricks the umpire. If these guys could stand a little more still as the catcher frames the pitch I bet they would be getting more calls.

Robo ball-strike calls can’t come too soon.   Most of these guys are terrible at it.

Hoberg (122/123 correct calls in a game) needs to be cloned the rest of the season.
