Incorrect. We don't love cheaters in baseball.

I feel like you’re trying really hard to twist around my words.  What I said is that we love baseball such as it is.  Not that we or (I) love   cheaters. And as far as your previous reply I like your move there to include the word “blatantly” which is pretty subjective.  None of this stuff about cheating and baseball is new.  I clarified my point by acknowledging there are different degrees of severity.  If that’s not good enough for you.  Then oh well.

Here’s an article from 2006.

here’s another from 2021

I used the term "blatantly" because you introduced "varying degrees of severity" to the argument.

As for your examples, I said "teams", not individual player.

Also, we all don't love baseball when teams cheat, much less aren't held accountable for doing so. I know plenty of people whose interest is nowhere near the level it once was, myself included.

Can anyone here honestly think a Mike Scioscia lead team would have a systematic cheating system that crossed the line from gamesmanship to blatant cheating?  I can’t see that.  The all teams do it is bullshit.

Nope. I'd be shocked to learn Scioscia tolerated something like that.

"The letter does not implicate the Yankees in a sign-stealing scheme similar to the one for which the Houston Astros were punished..."

Can someone remind me how the Astros were punished?

Their stadium was demolished, 6 players from their 40-man roster were randomly selected for execution, and they will revert to being called the "Houston Colt .45s" in 2025.
