I had very little hope Canning would be a contributor in 2022.

That sucks but it’s the truth.  Maybe someday he will be good but I certainly wasn’t expecting it this year.

So now he is just out of the way for awhile.

We will see if this is the last middle infield move. The way the Giants won all those games is by replacing starters with above replacement level players.

He’s an upgrade over Velasquez, Wade, Rengifo and maybe Fletcher.

Danny is next because of Canning on IL
