Cabbage said on the Rocket City pre-game show today that he needs surgery and will then need to rehab the injury. He didn't get into detail on what the exact injury is, but it sounds like a longer term thing.

With Silseth appearing as if he could make another start - who is the next young SP in the minors who could get promoted to make their debut?  Brett Kerry has posted a fantastic stat line in AA and leads the league in Ks.  Wonder if he, too, will leapfrog some of the AAA guys and make his MLB debut this year.

Here's a crazy stat: Adell has 10 hits since being demoted to AAA, 6 of which are doubles, 4 of which are HR. Meaning, not one is a single.

Although fielding grounders doesn't mean anything. Need to know how he's fielding liners and fly balls.

small sample really shows how the SLC pitching staff was getting hammered.  Quick look small sample on Adell.  Still trouble with breaking on balls at him.  Fine on the other stuff.  Balls don't curve as much at SLC.  It just seems like he has a hard time with whether to come in or go out.  Side to side he's good.  Late breaks on balls in front of him.  Loses track of where he's at on balls over his head.

He has 11 xbh and 8 walks in 31 at bats.   Video game numbers.  All he needs to do is just not suck out there on defense.  Give the guy a break.  I know we want him to be something he's not.  But how bout if he just ends up really good?
