Remember one of the prospects we dealt for Dylan Bundy? Yeah, he looked good against a solid Cardinals lineup.

Kyle Bradish could be a damn good pitcher for the O's.

I was super high on him when we drafted him, the guy just refused to give up HRs at New Mexico in a park that made Coord Field seem like a pitcher haven.  Dude limits walks like a champ too now.  Two things that will likely serve him well while pitching in those bandboxes in the AL East.

Garrett Stallings who we drafted in the 5th round and then never saw him pitch because he was traded  for Jose Iglesias is also starting to shove a bit in AA.   Both those guys may end up being really solid arms for the Orioles.

Maitan is hitting .226 for the month of May, and has hits in four straight games.

Try to keep in mind that he is 22 years old and in AA.  I'd hate to see him develop into a good player for someone else.

This one goes out to @Second Base...

BTW, Cabbage went yard again.

He turned 25 a few days ago.  His line in AA is .330/.439/.679 with 10 hrs in 109 at bats.  Yes, hitters park, and yes, a shit ton of K's.  But something to keep an eye on.  He's also a go defender from what I've hard and has 9 SBs.

am I crazy or did he change his swing from like five friggin games ago?  Way less movement.  Different hand position.  No leg kick.  That bat actually looked quick.  I must be dreaming or just overly hopeful.

This is what he does.

Every so often, he has flashes where you see slivers of the guy people raved about and you get hopeful.  It's those instances however faint that likely keep Scotty from punting on him completely.

Also, I can actually hear Chris Rock saying, "that must be jelly cause jam don't shake like that" as he rounds the bases..

I feel this is only the tip of the iceberg for what Cabbage can do.

The Ks are certainly a flag, but optimistically speaking, at least his BB% is very solid and a sign of pitch recognition.   Contact rates can be improved upon over time.  Not necessarily holding out hope, but he's certainly showing well so far.
