No, the Angels receive the 2nd round pick if another team signs him at their draft slot. The Anges gave away the 13th pick in the second round. The team that signs Iglesias is probably from a team that drafts after the Angels, a team looking to solidify their playoff chances.

that's inaccurate. they don't get the other team's draft pick and the mets didn't get the angels either. the signing teams forfeit the pick, it just goes away. the other team gets a compensatory pick after the 2nd round and compensatory round A too, i think it is called. it falls like in the 75th pick or so.
