Sign Ray, trade a young SP and OF/SS to Milwaukee for Hader or White Sox for Kimbrel. 

Could mean there's a lot more creativity ahead.

So, once again, multiple 1-year deals for starting pitching.  Can they really be counting on Lorenzen to start?  He hasn't been a regular starting pitcher since 2015 and he sucked way back then.   There really better be some other signings or trades coming.

It feels like an upside-play for the #6 SP, or allows them to consider a deal for a young arm a little more easily. 

Doesn't mean they definitely will, but it gives them more flexibility to take that route.

A lot of us after the Thor signing wanted 2 more pitchers. So I don’t see this as the end all be all for the rotation guys.

It’s setting up for a Sandoval, adell + for Castillo.
