Most I’ve ever spent on a single card is $300 for my PSA 6 Ryan RC and PSA 7 Carew RC. I do have some nice Trouts and Shoheis but I got in early on Trout and during the 2020 dip on Ohtani. I’ll try to post a few pics or links.

Here is my most expensive Trout, #/10. Traded a 2011 Bowman Chrome Red Ref #/5 for this and cash. I had $120 into the red and this should be valued at about $25-30K

I'm kidding.  I think I paid like $150 for it 15 years ago.  I took it to an event at Angel Stadium to get Lackey to sign it.  He was funny: he looked at it, turned it over, looked at it again, and said, "Are you sure you want me to sign this?  I think I might kill its value."

Its too late (money wise) for me to get a trout or ohtani rookie. And i dont collect cards anyway. But those would be the two 20 years from now when im an old man that would be cool to have in a drawer that someone could find and steal from me when im dead

my daughter got a ball signed by jordan walden when he just exploded onto the scene as a closer. figured he'd be around a good while.

then, against my advice, she got it signed by some random orioles rookie pitcher. turned out to be jake arrieta.

One of the cooler things I have signed is the SI Cover (ordered cover that's larger than the actual magazine) with Troy Glaus on it after the 2002 WS win.  Had him sign it when he was playing in Arizona.
