Agreed. Even if he is a utility guy with a solid OPS, that’s valuable. If he can be a super sub that can be the backup at catcher that’s actually a very valuable guy to have.

I think it’s more important they get a better feel going into 2022 as to what they have in these kids versus worrying about the service time

i'd be willing to bet that goose has a bigger future with the angels than thaiss does.

You maybe right since Thaiss hasn't had consistent at bats since his rookie year when he batted 714 OPS 

Even then it was only 164 PAs
