Would you guys do Scherzer and Turner for Canning and Adell and two mid range prospects? That’s essentially what the Dodgers are rumored to be offering, Gray is a bit better than Canning and Adell is a bit better than Ruiz. Plus two guys somewhere around Jackson or Kochanawicz.

Nationals got Gray and Ruiz, 55 FV and 50 FV respectively, plus two "mid-range prospects" (presumably 40-45 FV). 

That sort of lowers the expected value on Raisel and Cobb, I'd think. I think the hope would be a 50 FV prospect each, but that might not be on offer.

Chasing Scherzer only made sense with an extension.  So it is silly to characterize it as the Angels being “buyers” for a run this year.  In other words, you don’t now become hard core sellers because you didn’t get Scherzer.  You keep pursuing the controllable arm you need.

Apparently some here may still have an interest. We have a thread dedicated to Pujols with the Dodgers. Maybe we can get one for Scherzer with them.

No offense to the padres or giants as I hope either end up as the div winner but now I hope that Minasian gets some bidding going on Cobb and/or Heaney and fleeces them or any other team for more than those guys should be worth.
