For the first time in a long time Angels have pitchers waiting to Crack the rotation like Sandoval has making the most of his opportunities.  So guys like Bundy Quintana might not get their spots back if demoted or injury.

Quintana’s FIP is almost a full run less than Bundy’s.

If Quintana improves his control, that’s the key.

You have such a short window to decide. How much do you give him and for how long? Angels have cheap options waiting in Barria, Suarez, Detmers and maybe Chris Rod. Halos have a history of mistakes with FA pitchers. I put him in bullpen and start Barria now.

They are all gone after this season anyways. We have replacements in minors. Rotation would be Ohtani, Canning, Barria, Sandoval, Suarez and Detmers. Rengifo play 2B Fletcher to SS replaces Jose Iglesias. Benboom or Thaiss replaces Suzuki. Bullpen pieces not traded stay others come from minors.
