Is there some sort of rule preventing the Angels from recalling Quijada? surely he deserves a chance more than Hoyt, no?

I'm curious why he went from being a pretty good reliever on TB to a pile of crap on the Angels.....was he pitching above his weight in TB?...

*checks stats* Yep, he was pitching above his weight, he has sucked for a while and just had a good first 13 games....

If it’s a matter of too many LHP relievers, then DFA Claudio.  What has he done to earn a spot so far?

"Upon being optioned to the Minor Leagues, a position player must remain there for a minimum of 10 days before he is eligible to be recalled to the Major League roster. For pitchers, the minimum is 15 days."

These moves typify the Angels for the past 6 years.  Instead of a revolving door of marginal players, how about understanding how to scout and develop players properly to create some small semblance of stability?

Can someone please explain the Angels approach of DFAing a pitcher immediately after they have a bad outing?  I am assuming the DFA decision has already been made and it looks like the Angels are simply waiting for the opportunity to do it.  Just DFA the player before thay have a chance to hurt the team...Strickland imploding was not a surprise.  The Rays knew it well before the Angels.
