The issue is (IMO) that each Chinese character has several meanings depending upon the context in which it is used. If you plug it into a translator, which is how most of these things turn into butchered English, the context is lost and the translator just grabs whatever word it wants. That is how we wind up with signs that say "F*ck Vegetables" in grocery stores, and candy made out of gelatinous mutant coconut. Sometimes you wind up with signs that say things like this:

 

 

And if you have ever flown China Eastern, I'm sure that you know exactly how to wait outside rice-flour noodle.

 

 

Probably sound advice.
