Talking about that - one league that I am in takes team names from the Canadian Football League. The team that I run, the Atlantic Schooners, has never existed. It was planned as a franchise for Atlantic Canada, to be based in Halifax, NS. To date, the financing has not materialized. Maybe if I win the league, that will give the effort the momentum that it needs.
