I can't really laugh at this one too much, because I have actually done this. The '96 Mercury Grand Marquis that I had up until a couple of months ago had a split front bumper cap. The split was underneath, which left it hanging down if it wasn't secured. The previous owner had drilled holes in it and attached a piece of metal with screws to hold it together. That worked until I caught it on a curb once and bent the metal plate, which then dragged on the ground. I removed the metal plate and used zip ties.

 

 

 

Automatic defroster. It's all in the duct work.

 

 

 

It's important that the paint and the duct tape be the same color, for that seamless look.
