Peter Bourjos - OF - Angels

Peter Bourjos (hamstring) went 1-for-3 with an RBI triple on Monday in his first rehab game with High-A Inland Empire.

Bourjos also played five innings in center field. If all goes according to plan, he should rejoin the Angels this weekend. The speedy outfielder has been sidelined since April 29 with a strained left hamstring.

Won't happen. Sciosc will give Peter consistent playing time b/c he has the potential to be a great leadoff hitter with Trout & Co. behind him. 

 

Nice to hear he's recovered and I hope he's 100% because I can't wait to see him out there. This is one move Skip has made that I actually agree with.

There hasn't been an official word, but it sounds like he's joining the team either later this week in Boston or at the start of next week at the latest.

All I know is, Shuck is a good 4th OF and Bourjos is a very important guy in the OF.

Defense and gap hitting improve markedly once Bourjos returns.

Shuck is Willits 2.0.

According to Langston, after the IE66 stint, he's supposed to do a brief stint in SLC. Then join the team on Monday to the Baltimore series.
