However I will say that I think it's extraordinarily unlikely that evidence will surface of actual collusion between the Russian government and the Trump campaign to influence the election.

I'm pretty sure that is what was done.  Which is why Thomas was in there even though that isn't really what he was saying.

I don't know why Witch Hunt is used.  This is a straight forward White Collar Crime Hunt.  There isn't any burning stakes or brooms here but just look at the financials.
