Literally the first statement about honoring the legacy of African American contributions to our nation is about prison reform. The second statement is about pardoning some of those already convicted. The implications seem pretty plain to me.

Along with policing, these two things seem to be what's important to many in those communities. This is nothing more than political campaigning stuff.

Seriously, though: the kind of security lapse that is necessary for this to happen is something over which Obama or Hillary would have been ripped to shreds by people on all areas of the political spectrum (at least on this board). Meanwhile, there's so much to keep up with presently that it's apparently not a big deal in 2018.
