Well that's not a terrifying new piece of news. 

Serves Republicans by feeding into many Christians cognitive bias that they're under attack.  Many on the more secular left will react I'm sure predictably, by that I mean in a loud and condescending manner when stating their opposition. This feeds into the fears on both sides that much more and further hardens the divide between the two.

Yes because his tactics haven't been warned about in literature for decades. His administration's tactics have been literally by the book. I'm sure though if my premise is that faulty that you can provide well reasoned counterarguments to my arguments. I get the initial resistance but I am fully confident that you are capable of better responses than what you have given so far.
