So as @Thomas mentions, we shouldn't underestimate Trump.  I am sure he knows all of this is complete bullshit.  However, the Trump supporters on the other hand are hook line and sinker.  They believe everything they hear as long as it is either racist, fascist, or anti-democrat.

In case you are wondering, this is 10000000% false.  I am sure Jason, yvangel and MAGA believe it though.

Honestly it's only half the motivation though. Maybe the lesser important half. It inflames his opposition. All this blatantly racist bullshit has really pissed them off. Trump understands how to really get under their skin. They are pissed off enough that they can't even help fighting with each other. Act out in completely counterproductive ways that only benefits Trump. Think the civility argument coming from activist bots are a coincidence? Many on the left have been compromised significantly.
