I would hope that we don't set our foreign policy with the fear that people in the Middle East to kill each other.

This is nothing new.  Israel has been murdering Palestinians in the name of their colonial ethno state project for the last 70 years.  Now that it’s clearly convenient for the liberals to take shots at evangelical Christians they’re shamelessly pretending they care.

The embassy thing is a convenient thing to point at for the protests at the Gaza border.  But if it wasn’t that it would be something else.  Gaza’s situation is beyond dire.  There are severe water shortages.  There is regular electrical outages.  People are living literally in rubble in many instances.  The unemployment is something like 80%.   Even on the ocean front the israeli navy makes it nearly impossible to carry out subsistence fishing.  It is effectively a huge prison.  The human crisis there is incredible.  The UN estimates that the territory may be uninhabitable within 10 years.  These protests all things considered are fairly restrained.  They will continue.  They will continue to become more desperate and violent.

Plenty of Presidents have made the choice of keeping the embassy exactly where it was.  Trump made the choice to move it knowing full well people could die.

They should move to Lebanon.
