This might have more to do with Trump bringing in a few lawyer this week and moving Dowd to the sidelines. The new guy, Joe diGenova, is apparently on the full blown conspiracy wagon (this was all manufactured by the FBI, Obama, and Clinton) so he should fit in nicely with Trump.

Plus it'll play to his infowars/pizzagate base.

Dude is already thinking 2020 like the stable genius he is.

This is i why pulled for:

A. Hillary vs Donald

then,

B. A Donald victory.

Pure, glorious entertainment

Oh bullshit, you pulled for Trump because you had visions of a kick ass taco truck parked at the wall.  And granted, you likely would have a kick ass taco truck but I will need you to get your liquor license.

For most presidents, a woman making detailed allegations about an affair she had with you would be your worst news story of the day. For Trump, I think it falls somewhere after (1) my attorney quits, (2) I have started a trade war, (3) the stock market tanks, (4) should I or should I not testify in a matter that could result in my presidency terminating,  (5) my national security advisor resigns, and (6) a different woman is also accusing me of having an affair with unprotected sex.

And FWIW, Karen MacDougal is still hot as f***.

Trump Chooses Bolton for 3rd Security Adviser as Shake-Up Continues

Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster to Leave the Trump White House

Lt. Gen. McMaster is the latest in a series of high-profile exits from President Trump’s administration. He will be replaced as national security adviser by John R. Bolton, a former ambassador to the United Nations...

Just a crazy time in the white house. I can see Trump has really put a lot of thought into his selections.

Phil, you know you could have gotten Karen at least $1.5 million in a throbbing second and not $150,000 and then Stormy, the man made lip gloss spokesperson needed at least $1.3 million.  WTF were they thinking to even let this guy mount them in the first place, while he fascinates about his daughter, then they let the Carney stiff them again when handing out their prize.

And Evangelicals, the ones who hate porn and love Trump, oh never mind, you will never get it.

I am considering a VETO of the Omnibus Spending Bill based on the fact that the 800,000 plus DACA recipients have been totally abandoned by the Democrats (not even mentioned in Bill) and the BORDER WALL, which is desperately needed for our National Defense, is not fully funded.

The Republicans are in the majority, and yet he says the democrats abandoned DACA recipients.

He also tweeted the support for the bill yesterday, but apparently that was before he received his final briefing from Fox & Friends this morning

Sadly the right wing media has done what they started out to accomplish decades ago, I guess with whomever, was it Rush, to literally take over the functions of our government.

It is funny that the dems voted for this considering there is nothing about the dreamers in it and how much they fought for it last time

I"m guessing part of the reason they're voting for it is to avoid a third shutdown this year and the same could be said about some of the R's.  With the elections coming up later this year all the dems have to really do is not anything really stupid and they should come out ahead.

There are reports that the Omnibus bill which will be sent to Trump specifically bars funding for any of the prototypes of the wall that the president is considering.

I can see a veto here, easily. The Senate may be a couple votes short of overriding, not sure about the House numbers. Get out the popcorn tonight. There's going to be a lot of screeching Dems AND Republicans. Schumer will really be pissed, as he spoke just the other day about getting almost everything he wanted from this bill.

The attempt to win over the dreamers and make the Dems look bad is also a nice political touch.

It fascinates me that in a scenario where the Republicans hold the white house, house, and Senate they can still get the base fired up by talking about the nasty Dems. Always good to get a reminder that when Trump spews his shit he's really only focused on one audience.

That's 100% wrong. Not even just 99%. The administration's strategy requires getting the opposition fired up as well. Probably considerably more so. They rely on eliciting a corresponding angry response from their opposition. This collective response is far more corersive than anything the administration says directly to their base.

It’s this.  The battle that they’ll lose anyway has more potential to cause them problems in November then just not doing anything.
