The only reason for the EC was because someone in Maine or Virginia probably never traveled more than 15 miles from home in their life and never would know much about the candidates running for president. News traveled slow in those days. They voted for someone more local who they empowered to vote for the president for them. That is no longer the case which makes the EC unnecessary and should be abolished...

Oh and in a republic the people vote for representatives. They don't necessarily have to vote for them indirectly to be a republic. They can vote for the president directly with the popular vote and still be a republic.

The Roman Republic ended in murder, and replaced by an Emperor. There never was a republic that lasted either, The Venice Republic lasted 1100 years until conquered by the Ottomans.

FoxNews has been reporting about Wynn for 3 days . The Mueller "almost fired" story has been covered for days.  But thankfully, there are people who fight for Trump, too.
