The democrats would be smart to just give on the wall.  Then scream to the heavens that they’re giving on that.  The republicans have been saying for the last month that they want to make a deal on the “dreamers”.  Let’s see them make a deal if they get their stupid wall.  I’m not holding my breath

Hey man, I hate that the it always seems like the democrats have to cave.  The republicans play hardball on everything at all times.  They wouldn’t give an inch to Obama ever.  

That said, this is the wrong hill to die on.  Immigration is a loser for the democrats.  They look weak on border security and it’s going to kill them.  Fight for the people that don’t deserve to be deported because that’s the right and ethical thing to do.  But aside from that being the wide open borders party is going to cost them.  

Really, this isn’t the battle where they need to draw a line in the sand.  They need to appear reasonable and win voters over.  If they can wrestle some control away from the republicans in November that’s when they can do damage.  Hopefully that’s exactly what happens.
