Screw David Duke. 99.99% of Trump supporters will agree with me.

Didn't Louisiana vote Trump in the election, they  also voted for Duke. Nearly half of Alabama voters voted for another racist Moore, who the family was better off during the slavery years. It seems to me a lot sleazy politicians get an awful lot of votes by being Trump supporters, in the deep south anyway.

Economic benefits of illegal immigrants

Consumer demand

An employer may benefit from the illegal status of a migrant who is desperate for work and therefore prepared to accept poor pay, usually below local norms. If paid under the table rather than using a stolen social security number, hiring an illegal worker also brings the employer the advantage of paying less in the way of welfare contributions and other non-wage costs.[19]

Nearly every dollar earned by illegal immigrants is spent immediately, and the average wage for US citizens is $10.25/hour with an average of 34 hours per week. This means that approximately 8 million US jobs are dependent upon economic activity produced by illegal immigrant activities within the US.[20][21][22]

Taxes paid by illegal immigrants

IRS estimates that about 6 million unauthorized immigrants file individual income tax returns each year.[10] Research reviewed by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office indicates that between 50 percent and 75 percent of unauthorized immigrants pay federal, state, and local taxes.[10] Illegal immigrants are estimated to pay in about $7 billion per year into Social Security.[23] In addition, they spend millions of dollars per year, which supports the US economy and helps to create new jobs. The Texas State Comptroller reported in 2006 that the 1.4 million illegal immigrants in Texas added almost $18 billion to the state's budget, and paid $1.2 billion in state services they used.[24]

The Social Security and Medicare contributions of illegal immigrants directly support older Americans, as illegal immigrants are not eligible to receive these services, although their children born in the United States are eligible for such benefits.[25]

Social Security subsidization

Illegal immigrants pay social security payroll taxes but are not eligible for benefits. During 2006, Standard & Poor's analysts wrote: "Each year, for example, the U.S. Social Security Administration maintains roughly $6 billion to $7 billion of Social Security contributions in an "earnings suspense file"—an account for W-2 tax forms that cannot be matched to the correct Social Security number. The vast majority of these numbers are attributable to illegal workers who will never claim their benefits. For 2010, the Social Security Administration estimated that illegal immigrants and their employers paid $13 billion in required social security payroll taxes.[26]

Price levels

NPR reported in March 2006 that when the wages of lower-skilled workers go down, the rest of America benefits by paying lower prices for things like restaurant meals, agricultural produce and construction. The economic impact of illegal immigration is far smaller than other trends in the economy, such as the increasing use of automation in manufacturing or the growth in global trade. But economists generally believe that when averaged over the whole economy, the effect is a small net positive. Harvard's George Borjas says the average American's wealth is increased by less than 1 percent because of illegal immigration.

That being said I'm in favor of stopping illegal immigration, but the problem I have is more about a racist president that is not held in very high regard with his own countryman, let alone the rest of the civilized world. Do you think Norway and it's citizen appreciates be singled out by Trump as a country in would favor immigration from?

Trump is unbelievably irresponsible in the things he says. He doesn't think to think before he peaks and then has to try and do damage control later.

It's better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

If Norway has a problem they should take it up with senator Durbin. Norway was an example in a private conversation which he leaked.

There are two economic negatives to immigration.  (Both legal and illegal)  1. They keep wages down for the working poor.   2. It creates an affordable housing shortage.

But this stuff about the amount of government benefits they take?  It's a drop in the bucket compared how much wealth they create.  By simply living here they are paying rent, buying groceries, going to the movies.  All these things make our overall economy stronger.

There are few things more effed up than robbing immigrants of their money (SS) and not giving it to them later.

I did payroll for my dad's company long ago. He employed a few illegals. They were all great guys. Truly wonderful, hardworking, honest and generous people. But they didn't all pay income taxes. Some did, but others claimed as many dependents as legally allowed despite having none. And then they sent as much money as possible back to Mexico.

Again, those were the exception, not the rule, but I suspect there is a fair amount of that going on.

back in the summer of '81  i worked at the windsurfer company. nearly everyone there was from guatemala or el salvador. it was common knowledge in the factory that these guys had a family here in LA and another family back home. most of them sent money back to their native countries each week.

Point number 1 is pretty high on the list of reasons why stopping illegal immigration has never been a priority with the feds

Option A: El Salvador isn't a "shithole," so they don't need 17 years of Temporary Protected Status, and migrants from there should be sent home immediately. Option B: El Salvador is, in fact, a "shithole." https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/trump-attacks-protections-for-immigrants-from-shithole-countries-in-oval-office-meeting/2018/01/11/bfc0725c-f711-11e7-91af-31ac729add94_story.html?utm_term=.9bcfded9313d

That Tucker slime bucket is as bad as Trump IMO. He belongs on Fox News, like he could actually get a job on another network anyway.

Did you quote me because you were looking for me to defend Carlson?

I heard about the shithole thing but today is the first time I saw everyone on tv saying it.  I thought unless it was cable you couldn't just say shit, but apparently shithole is fine.

Al Roker can't just say it is colder than shit at MT's place today.  I guess if you just phrase it as unless you like cold shitholes don't go to MT's place today.

Can they now use the F word if they just pair it with wad?  Al Roker can't say it is a lot colder then 25 where you are at, shut the fuck up.  Can he say quit being a fuckwad, people up north wish it were 25?
