It's going to be another long year before the Republicans lose both houses of congress, and even with controlling both houses the GOP has had their hands full trying pass any legislation.

It would take a miracle for the Dems to regain the Senate. The math is completely stacked against them, as they have to defend 23 seats (25 if you count the two 'independents' who always vote with them). Republicans have only eight senators up for reelection.

The House, though, that could change. Some elections have resulted in dramatic turnarounds.

Gridlock resulting from divided government is arguably the best choice. None of these people have shown a desire to compromise anyway, so why bother at this point.

Here's a true story we'll tell our grandkids:

 

On November 8, 2016 Donald Trump won the Presidential Office of the U.S.

During the campaign in April 2016 his opponent Hillary Clinton paid $9 million for a dossier to be compiled against Trump. The author of the dossier was Christopher Steele from Great Britain. (I read the dossier when Buzz Feed published it) The dossier was a doozy ~ it said Trump preferred to stay in Kremlin Hotels  rooms that the Obamas had slept in. It said Trump hired prostitutes to pee in the beds. etc. 

Christopher Steele used Kremlin "sources" for his dossier. 

The dossier made its' way to James Comey, the FBI Director, via payment by Comey himself, and even John McCain got into the act by personally delivering  the dossier to Comey. (McCain actually sent a currier overseas to obtain the dossier)

Comey then promptly delivered the dossier to Obama, Trump. The dossier is given to CNN, who gives it "authenticity".

 

This dossier was presented as "proof" to the FISA court for obtaining HUNDREDS of surveillance requests of the Trump campaign universe.

Among those surveilled was General Flynn, whose life has been ruined. He didn't do anything illegal, and shouldn't have been interviewed by the FBI.

 

 

So Trump wins, the Dems scream, Jeff Sessions recuses himself and his assistant, who is a Democrat,  promptly appoints Robert Mueller, a personal friend, to investigate "collusion with the Russians".

 

We have witnessed the biggest political scam in American history.

If not for the outdated, electoral college "Bull Shit" he wouldn't have won this time. It's time for the US to join the rest of the free world and become a true democracy with one person one vote. Trump lost the popular vote by 3,000,000 votes. Good Job.

With the majority of the population living in New York, Massachusetts, California... Trump would have lost, should have. He is an embarrassment for the US to the rest of the world.
