Either way the army sent back what they had recovered at the time to give the family closure. Would anyone feel better if they held back the mangled body waiting to see if they could recover more? This is a month later and there still could be more pieces, so at what point should say this is the best we can do?

I think the issue is more they weren’t being truthful with the family. They certainly didn’t mention he was dismembered.

That story still doesn't say anything about the family not knowing the reason for the closed casket. Just that they were not allowed to open it.

In fact her statement was, "They won't show me a finger, a hand. ... I don't know what's in that box," she said. That statement in itself says she knew her husband was not in one piece.

Franken was elected before the allegations and photo come out.

 

Having said that, he should resign. But you know......double standards and all. I guess this is the best our country can come up with.

Lou you might be more up to speed on events than I am or maybe I'm not understanding your post so I apologize but Moore hasn't been elected yet, correct? That is what I was getting at when I quoted Jason. Accusations against Franken came out after he was elected from what I understand. 

Again Franken needs to resign and Moore needs to drop out imo.
