Nope, I am comparing his hyperbole to her hyperbole.  Why is it any better to ascribe evil intentions to half of the country?  That is ok because a majority of them are white I guess.

I didn't mention anything about republicans or conservatives.  I was posting, very specifically about Trumps rally last night.  

I don't believe Donald Trump is a conservative and I don't think his supporters even understand what real conservative political ideology  is.

This is classic, while dems complain about Charlotteville and ridiculous speeches Trump has decided to extend the war in Afghanistan, has continued his moronic push for the border wall, enriched himself by using his own resorts for vacations and hasn't really accomplished one thing he said he would and well, "speeches".

MT, have we seen anything like Trump in recent times? And your second paragraph makes the point.  His speeches are a symptom of who he is. Last night is just the latest episode. There's so much BS it's difficult to pick what to focus on.

No, we haven't.  Which is why focusing on the things that are important should be the goal of everyone who opposes him.

Stop telling people they are stupid and start showing them why your ideas are better for them.  Stop belittling folks you disagree with and actually have conversations.

As I've said before, we are so busy telling the other side why they are wrong they aren't explaining why they are right.

I don't think the left has tried very hard to get their own ideas out there.  Too busy telling everyone else how dumb they are.  Maybe you have tried but in general, they haven't.  It is obvious though that what they are doing isn't working.

I remember going to visit my Grandmother (Democrat)in West Virginia back in the early 90's. I go get her mail for her and look at some of the political flyers she received. They were flat out telling her that she would lose all her medications if so and so were elected. It's an old tactic

I think what happened is that people really, really hate Hillary Clinton.  Fairly or unfairly (I believe unfairly..surprise !) so I don't think it's that complicated.  

The left has obviously failed to sell or articulate its vision.  But I think a lot of that is also how effective the right has been at framing the democratic agenda as "unamerican" and "socialist". That of course is the game that's being played, but I don't think it's right to completely discount how stupid the voting public has been.  Trump in particular flat out lies and people buy it.  You don't like it, but I'm gonna say it. It's stupidity that allows it to work.
