Crazy, surreal times at the White House. I can't recall anything remotely like this. The Nixon/Watergate times seem quaint by comparison.

Strangely enough, Scaramucci financially supported Obama's 2008 campaign. He sounds like an extreme opportunist (which means he'll fit right in with the folks in D.C.).

Random thing that I think is worth noting:

In a speech recently, Trump was SUPER stoked about how many coal jobs had come back under him, implying that the number of coal jobs is a significant number of jobs. The quote: “Boy, have we put those coal miners and coal back on the map.” It turns out, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, about 800 coal jobs have been added since Trump became president. Which like...kinda sucks for those people, because coal jobs suck balls, but its a job, so its a win. Estimates of how many trans people are in the military range from 2,150 to 15,500 (the range is largely due to no official records being taken). That means, in one tweet session, Trump destroyed (or at least REALLY actively attempted to destroy) between 2.7 times and 19 times as many jobs as have been created in coal in the last six months. GG.

The whole coal thing is such a crock of shit.  There's less then 100k real coal jobs in the whole country.  That's the entire industry from extraction to the middle aged ladies in HR.  It's a dying industry because coal fucking sucks.  Not because of regulations or Obama or whatever other horse shit.

Coal is dying because natural gas is cheaper and better for the environment. At some point folks will be honest with coal miners and let them know those jobs aren't coming back. Or maybe a better statement is at some point people in those states will accept reality. 

Tough for those communities, but the market has spoken.
