South Korea is the United States’ sixth-largest goods trade partner, and the U.S. goods trade deficit with Korea was $27.7 billion last year, according to the Office of the U.S. Trade ­ Representative.

Based on this, it sounds like the deal is crap. I have no issues with him dumping the deal or renegotiating one.

Trump has been railing on NAFTA since his campaign began...he was looking for something, anything, to say he had accomplished in his first 100 days so he and the Bannon's of the world grasped onto cancelling NAFTA...only to have to walk back after being schooled. Guess the only thing to figure out is did he call the President of Mexico to inform him he was cancelling and got the 10 minute President Xi "listen dumbshit...you don't know what you are talking about".

So, now that he has his tail between his legs he says...oh...look South Korean trade agreement...

Trump's accomplishments in 100 days has been worse than I feared. I mean sure none of what he actually promised to the public came true but everything the powers that propelled him into office are flowing through with little to no resistance. But the fact that he never had any intention of following through in his promises was obvious. The long term changes to online connectivity alone will make a select few companies enough money to make his administration a success in their estimation.  Environmental policy changes benefiting specific backers. Doing a sufficient job in convincing Americans that they actually wanted to repeal ACA. Do you really think the corporations behind Trump want to build a wall and cut off the supply of low cost slaves I mean labor? Then they would have to have them shipped in and that costs money. But if he can convince everyone that there would be a wall if wasn't for those damn Dems? Then that's win win. Stacking the SCOTUS.  Sowing the seed of discontent around the world that will require military spending. Continuing to keep the populace content and dumb. Etc etc.

All the while those on the right ignore how they were painfully used they were because to do anything else would be to admit that they were wrong. And the left...holy Christ...the left. Between the bitter infighting resembling Lord of the Flies on who is truly the most socially and ideologically pure and being unable to contain themselves in any rational manner due to their pathological hatred of Trump and eschewing any pretense of long term vision for short term satisfaction... Things are worse than I even imagined. (and I'm a sysadmin...I imagine terrible) We are so fucked.
