Hey, at least she's upfront about what the whitehouse means to her...Melania suing daily mail...because they hurt her 'once in a lifetime' opportunity to profit as being FLOTUS

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/melania-trump-lawsuit-daily-mail-damage-opportunity-profit-first-lady

Melania Trump’s lawyers alleged in a lawsuit filed Monday that the First Lady’s “unique once-in-a-lifetime” opportunity to profit from her White House role was damaged by a Daily Mail article claiming she once worked as an escort.

The suit, filed in New York State Supreme Court against the tabloid’s owner, Mail Media, seeks compensatory and punitive damages of at least $150 million.

According to the suit, Trump planned to leverage her years as “one of the most photographed women in the world” to establish new “licensing, branding and endorsement” deals worth millions of dollars. She intended to “launch a broad-based commercial brand” selling “apparel accessories, shoes, jewelry, cosmetics, hair care, skin care and fragrance,” the suit states.

I'm been screaming this for months. But people for the most part either ignore it and swallow the Kool-Aid because they support him or are so scared shitless by him that they've resorted to the coping mechanism of believing he is a moron or otherwise trying to trivialize him despite the threat he represents. For example:

I know you feel a lot of this is intentional, and I understand the danger of this.

But isn't it just as dangerous if he is the narcissistic thin skinned crazy uncle who spends all day watching cable news and quoting breitbart comment section conspiracy theories whose being advised by guys like Bannon and Miller?

He certainly knows how to message to his people, there is no doubt about it. But I've seen Home Alone 2...he's not this good an actor. At some point maybe a mango is just a mango.

I will point out...the white house leaks more than the Falcons second half defense, especially for two weeks in. You almost have to wonder if Pence and the congressional Republicans are starting these whispering campaigns on purpose.

It may be ridiculous but this is politics today.  Regardless of the chance if there is loss of life due to a refugee committing an act of terror the president will be blamed, big time.

By those on the left, yes. Trump is already planting the seeds to dodge any blame, pinning it on the judiciary and the media in advance.

First home alone was in 1992. I was a sophomore in high school for God sakes when it came out. How many years on TV did he have since then? And it's undeniable that the guy is a very successful con artist. He continually convinced people to give him money even if it was obvious that the only person guaranteed to make money is him. The guy at the very least is a far on the spectrum narcissist. I mean you kind of have to be to run for POTUS but clearly he is considerably more so than average even among politicians. He is a walking stereotype for an abusive spouse warning signs. Narcissists use emotional manipulation as second nature as one would breathes air. We know he is a bully. Most likely a rapist. I've personally seen guys who weren't very intelligent to begin smoke enough meth to exist on barely functioning levels yet somehow still were master gaslighters.  Basically Jesse Pinkman if you dropped the initial IQ by at least 30. This dismissal of Trump being capable of doing likewise borders on irrational.

The patterns he is using since running of POTUS are too predicable to be happenstance. You don't need Alan Turing to decipher it though I'm sure he would have been happy to help.  Unpleasant news about to hit? Throw a hissy fit on twitter. Preemptively blame and discredit everyone else.  He has effectively neutered the main stream media.  Did he Forrest Gump his way into it?  He completely overwhelms the country in stories about him so we cannot focus on any and our ability to defend against them breaks down until we are utterly broken. It's as if he has taken the "is your boyfriend abusing you" pamphlet and turned it into a political strategy though obviously he wasn't remotely the first leader in history to do this. Perhaps just in this country. Or at least to this degree. Honestly your worst case scenario for Trump is my best case scenario. I wish I was wrong and you were right. I'm just not usually wrong when it comes to pessimistic observations.

I honestly don't think it is any worse than normal. If it is the government nothing is secret. The spotlight on the office though is anything but normal though. And as I said above, this overwhelming amount of news seems to be an effective strategy to manipulate the message.

Nice to know Donald is continuing to drain that yuge swamp and replacing them with highly qualified candidates

Great the Republicans must be more united/subjugated than I was hoping for if she managed to get confirmed.

I guarantee he wishes Hillary had won. Now he has to position himself to steal instead of getting millions legitimately from dipshit pussies forking over the cash for TrumpTV. There's a reason Melania hasn't moved in, the presidency is a big step down from his typical lifestyle.

The plan backfired. President is a job that a billionaire really wouldn't want. Just wanted to monetize all the dipshits afraid of darky.

Clearly you're off your meds.

They had just enough token "no" votes from republicans to send the vote to Pence. Almost as if it was planned that way.

Collins and Murkowski had assurances the nomination would be approved before they announced they opposed. They do a whip count before they let folks "step out of line". If they truly opposed her and didn't want her as secretary of education they would have voted no in committee. But, now they can run home and talk about how independent they are.
