A few months back I was pondering who would be better, Cruz or Trump?

I figured on the off chance a Republican won, Trump would be better.  He's a scoundrel, a celebrity, a former democrat. I assumed that if he, by some fucking craziness, won the election, he would revert to what I believe are his true middle of the road political philosophies and appoint moderates to everything while he tried to schmooze and make "his deals."

He's done the opposite.  Whatever the position, he appoints someone who hates whatever department they will head and is a raving right wing looney.  At first I thought he was trolling America.  Like he didn't expect to win and thought it was funny and was like "let's appoint a chiropractor as surgeon general!"

Now I'm fairly confident a well organized and nefarious, extreme right wing organization controls him and he's a puppet with a Twitter account.  His abrasive personality and Twitter are distractions.

So I think Cruz would've been better.

He did say he was going to change the way business in Washington is done and so far he is doing that. I do agree with your assessment though

I would say it is a little too early to tell.  What is he changing that was actually working already?

I'm going to wait until he begins governing, and the reality of holding the office sets in, before I begin judging how he will be as a leader. Some of his cabinet selections are disturbing, though.

Either way it appears some of these companies suddenly are feeling good about going through with these investments. There seems to be some good vibes coming from the Trump election in the business world. Only time will tell if his election is a good thing, economically.

Listening to how stupid Trump supporters on AW are, it got me thinking.

I wonder what percentage of Trump voters have passports?  Or what the voting breakdown for passport holders is.  (And what the breakdown is if you exclude those with only Quintana Roo and Baja California Sur stamps in those passports).

I googled it but didn't find anything.

Why would they need passports?  According to the libs, they should be able to cross borders illegally with no repercussions.

Do you really equate passport ownership with intelligence? btw, those with Baja California stamps voted for Hillary

Apparently Betsy DeVos, Trump's pick for Education Secretary, got a beatdown today. She'll probably get through since the Republicans have the votes but it's a shame he appointed a religious nut for that cabinet position.

I only saw a bit of it and she seemed completely unprepared - like she showed up for class and had no idea there was a test today.

Education is fucked up. I'm glad he picked someone who has no experience with it. Not sure if this broad will be any good though.

Look, even if you're going to dismantle something, know what the hell you're talking about. She's not there out of altruism. She's clearly not there for her expertise. She couldn't possibly give half a shit about trying to improve the current system, she knows next to nothing about it.

I actually believe he has said the opposite.  Now what he says vs. what he does...............................

Nah, he said he knows how to take care of ISIS and has a plan.

Arch, whats the status on ISIS? Heard a military specialist on the Bill Handel show the other day saying ISIS is on the ropes.
