Of course I just threw it away.  10 or so years later I get pulled over, with a girl I had been trying to fuck for a long time, and boom fucking car being searched and there was nothing criminal in there, handcuffed on my face, girl crying and left stranded there with my car.  Three days in jail because it was over the weekend.  Remember this was jaywalking I committed. They were going to fine me around 3 grand because of fines for not paying but luckily the judge gave me time served.  The girl never went out with me again.  

Point is I didn't get to yell witch hunt, death and destruction to you all, people show up outside the jail yelling it's the end of America, if they can do this to you, they can do it to me. No pictures of me holding a bat and the arresting officers head behind it.  Nope, I sat my time out and paid any and all tickets from there on out. Fuck that snowflake and fuck all the people who think he is Jesus II.

You aren’t wrong here. The optics of this are terrible though. So many of our politicians are rarely held accountable for their BS yet they are really trying extra hard to nail Trump. It almost makes the left appear desperate. Then you get a DA who has been really soft on crime but goes after Trump on some nonsense that won’t stick. Trump couldn’t buy better publicity than this.

I don't have a dog in this fight but looking from afar, the Democrats are coming across as petty and desperate to do anything to stop Trump before the election, giving the impression that they don't think they can beat him fairly. So much political corruption is ignored and swept under the carpet that going after Trump, for a relatively minor offence by comparison, looks petty and vindictive.

The Republicans are also desperate to stop Trump from running again. This wouldn't have happened without their blessing.

Probably every former president should go to prison for something they've done. Trump is on another level though with his lifetime of legal scandals, sexual assault allegations, and tax evasion, not to mention trying to overturn the legal results of a federal election. He has nobody to blame but himself.
