I don't think anyone would go through the character assassination known as a presidential race if that person didn't want to make an effort to impose their vision. Especially if that person doesn't have a ton to gain personally. Trump is old and filthy rich, what does he have to gain by running for president? He doesn't need the attention either, he's a reality TV star.

Seems like he was working pretty hard to me during the campaign. Harder than Clinton who had people write speeches, prepared for debates, etc.

In 2008 I was actually happy because Clinton lost.

Yes Obama was supposed to be the agent of change in 2008 but as predicted, he was not.

Obama was unique in that he was a charismatic black guy. That's about the only thing that made him different from other presidents.

 

Trump is...unique in many more ways. I think it's fair to say he's more of a change candidate than Obama.

he's unique in that he's not a career politician, so he's not going to conform to normal methods.....for better or worse.

2008 was similar to this election, i didn't really like both and as much as i loathed clinton, i really didn't want mccain to be president with that psycho as a vp.
