re: the Veterans Day controversies.

When exactly did Veterans Day become another Memorial Day? I suppose this year's controversy might be due to the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I, one of the bloodiest conflicts in history. So many graveside ceremonies here and abroad remembering the dead from that war.

But Veterans Day normally celebrates our living veterans, of which there are more than twenty million. Memorial Day is for those killed in action.

There's always something to harp about with the 24/7 news cycle and social media. The media is not the enemy of the people, Twitter is. As well as online blogs and message boards. So much fruitless ranting, and the topics change daily or even several times a day. Trump is trolling everyone and we're taking the bait.

BTW I don’t really care if a president goes to Arlington on either Memorial Day or Veterans Day. According to that article itwasn’t really that big of a deal until Bill Clinton.
