Probably the only reason that he came here is that Senator Dean Heller is in a virtual dead heat with Congresswoman Jacky Rosen for his Senate seat. After voting twice to retain the Affordable Care Act - as he said that he would, because 200,000 citizens would have lost their health insurance - Heller caved as soon as the Republican establishment leaned on him, even though his party had no replacement plan. Trump was repaying a favor, I'm sure - in the city where he was not considered worthy of a gaming license (why Trump Tower has no casino even though it's on the Strip).

Clinton carried Nevada in 2016, so it's not like he is on entirely friendly turf here. We have a Republican Governor, but he is a moderate who has shown a willingness to push back against his own party when he believes that it is against the state's best interests.

Several presidents have played golf. There’s an underlying assumption that playing golf means nothing constructive happens for the entire day. That would be a wrong assumption to make. Most of us would shudder mightily at seeing what they’re daily schedule is like hour to hour.

 I haven’t been bothered by any POTUS that plays golf during his term, including the current guy.

At a pep rally everyone boos when he mentions Obama and golf.  But, if you look at the post about him golfing there was a disclaimer saying "just trying to get the thread back to 800."  Looks like it worked.
