Yes covid is serious but it has no doubt been over counted. The numbers are probably more accurate since the election for sure.

one of the high school kids on my campus tested positive so our high school sent everyone home and they're conducting classes online. the k-8 is still open.

He was part of a student association planning session retreat last weekend so he was around multiple other students plus a couple of faculty members. He returned to school on Monday but started feeling ill. Got tested Monday night and found out he was positive. After being exposed to several students and some faculty, and knowing this virus can spread easily in a contained environment like a school campus, state regulations required us to follow this protocol.

We’ve had people pop positive at my kid’s school and they didn’t shut the whole thing down. Are you sure state regulations require that? Is it a high school thing?
