I think it's important for the US to look at things that are vital to our safety and ensure that we can be self reliant for future issues.

Absolutely but in the end the almighty dollar or eventually Yuan will win out.  If some medication prices are already through the roof then bringing production back here under the current healthcare system definitely won't help the cost.

Market may drop hard if he announces draconian measures. The country will almost certainly have negative growth this quarter and possibly next one as well. That's a recession. Market has not totally priced that in yet, but it's getting close.
