NYPD: 9 of 10 arrests for coronavirus-related offenses involved black or Hispanic people, but not social distancing

More than 90 percent of coronavirus-related arrests made throughout New York City since the lockdown restrictions began in March were of black or Hispanic people, data released by the New York Police Department (NYPD) on Tuesday revealed.

Police arrested 125 people throughout the five boroughs between March 16 and May 10 -- 83 of them were black people and 30 of them were Hispanic people.

However, not all of those arrests were related to social distancing infractions, according to the department. Instead, "many were responses to calls for service where there was a clear victim and police took necessary action," the NYPD said in a statement.

All of the crimes were linked to COVID-19 but included hate crimes, domestic violence incidents, weapons possessions, altercations caused by jumping a line while waiting to enter a supermarket, resisting arrests or other violent felonies, police said.

"One arrest even included a bank robber who presented a note to a teller that said, this is a bank robbery, I have COVID," the NYPD said.

The plan includes the following steps:

1. Screening, temperature checks for employees and guests, either when they arrive for their shift or prior to their arrival (and during their stay).
2. Mandatory masks and personal protective equipment for employees (guests will be encouraged to wear masks and to avoid activities such as eating while on the casino floor, which would require them to remove masks).
3. A six-foot physical distancing policy will be implemented, wherever feasible. Other areas will have plexiglass barriers installed to protect guests and employees.
4. Handwashing stations have been installed in high-traffic areas and employees will practice enhanced routine cleaning procedures.
5. The heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) controls and air quality will be monitored based on the latest scientific information about the virus.
6. Incident response protocols have been created for when a guest or employee tests positive for the virus in order to reduce the chance of infection.
7. Digital innovations such as contactless check-in, digital menus and digital restaurant queues have been implemented to reduce the amount of exposure between guests and employees.

Alameda County officials said Tuesday they have agreed to allow Tesla to reopen as early as next week if the auto manufacturer agrees to certain safety conditions.

The last time I enjoyed tequila shots was with @Adam in Seattle doing Patron with Mannys Pale Ale beers for a few hours at the Fox Sports Grill. 

About a couple years after that I got so wasted on tequila at a Cinco de Mayo party that I can't do shots or sip it anymore, no matter how good the quality is. I can do a margarita though if blended well enough.

Reminds me. I’ve got an unopened bottle of patron platinum. I don’t enjoy drinking alone tho so that bad boy will make the rounds when we can throw our first post rona party

I got all up in my Russian roots when Eastern Promises was out. At the same time a bunch of us went up to Mammoth for a weekend snowboarding trip in a cabin. I brought up a Costco size bottle of Kettle One and we played a drinking game and dusted it. Everyone threw up but me.....but guess who the only person that didn't snowboard the next was? I was beyond wrecked and now can't stand vodka shots or straight, even though it's my drink of choice.

It's like how people have moments in their life and can't drink it ever again.....I'm like that on plain vodka.

My everything is a hoax out to get Trump friend, who is mad at me because I have social distanced myself from him, who texts pictures of himself at the steak house and bar after they just reopened, in public without a mask, saying give me liberty or give me death, I don't wear masks in the land of the free and home of the brave, on and on, just sent his wife and kids to stay at her sisters because he is sick now.   It is a hoax so move the fam out and he is going to try and get tested.  I do pray he is ok and just does have the flu. 

Point is nobody knows what is actually happening with this, you may be able to just go out there and swap tongues with everyone and be fine. I just don't want to put myself in the position where I think I can outsmart it.
