Could be wrong but Ive talked to 20+ distilleries in the past 3 days.   All except a few micro-distilleries (and some micros are) are distilling for hand sanitizer.   Go to any whiskey website and you can see for yourself.   Demand per gallon is WAY more than the cost of whiskey right now.   Its going for $40/gal market rate and you dont have to stick it in barrels for years.   What they might choose to do is open barrels a bit earlier that they were going to age a longer time.  

Here is the thing that might save it all.  Ethanol, which is basically pure alcohol at one point is getting worthless with the oil crash.  With hand sanitizer going at the rate it is, they can turn it into something super valuable, for the moment.
