On the replay you can actually see Lucroy stop moving his glove towards the runner, like the runner was a wild animal about to maul his face off.

So we're going to lose back to back series against the O's and Tigers, arguably the worst two teams in baseball, or at the very least in the AL. 

Winning 2 out of 7 against against these bottom feeders is pretty pathetic. 

How Eppler didn't get this team some controllable high end pitching, or at the very least some mid-tier SP's... just inexcusable IMO.

Would have liked to see if Suarez could pitch out of that jam. Might as well see what we have.

You saw the prices for starting pitching and you’re still judging Eppler?  You are smarter than that Chuck. The price was so high the Yankees who are in a much better position than we are but absolutely need a starter didn’t pull the trigger.

I think it's pretty obvious who Suarez is. He's a Jose Alvarez reliever that can go a few innings, or just get a few lefties out from the pen.

They're several games up and in 1st place and they have 4 quality starters, plus Severino coming back in Sept, their ace. 

It's not even close in comparison. Our best starter is a rookie right now in Griffin Canning.

Have to disagree and just think positively with that one, Chuck. He's still a 21 year old rookie who jumped three minor league levels just last year. Like Canning he was baptized by fire and probably should have been given more time in the minors. I am willing to bet he becomes a nice backend rotation option who is cost-controllable which is exactly what we need.
