@Vegas Halo Fan this is too damn funny. In Chicago they have dead people voting but in Nevada they have dead people winning office.

Dennis Hof, a Nevada brothel owner and reality TV star who died last month, won an election for Nevada's 36th Assembly District Tuesday night, the Nevada Secretary of State's office said.

Hof, who ran as a Republican, defeated Democratic challenger Lesia Romanov by more than 7,000 votes, the office said.

With Nevada law, the dead winner will be replaced by someone selected by the district's party committee.  It isn't as dumb as it sounds.

It wasn't too bad for the GOP.

First midterm election for new President:

Clinton 1994

House -54
Senate -8

Obama 2010

House -63
Senate -6

Trump 2018

House -30 (roughly)
Senate +2 to +4 (depending on Montana and Arizona results)

You forgot Bush.

The GOP lost the senate vote by a combined 6 million votes, even if you do not count the California senate.  The dems are going to win 22 or so out of the 35 senate races. The dems were in a bad spot because so many of the senate spots were already dem.

Let the excuse making begin.  By the way, I cannot figure out how gerrymandering can effect senate races.

What exactly are you looking for when you go to read a Huff Post -written article, MT?

Its like going to a Yankees message board after they lost a world series game.

They were talking about this on one of the radio stations this morning.  They said there were notices up at the polling stations letting voters know they could still vote for him and if he wins the seat goes to his party.

Stock market is soaring today.

Wall Street likes divided government and gridlock.

Actually it's because what was largely predicted was the outcome.  Kind of like how when you hear talks of assumed GDP growth of __ when it turns out to be true there's generally not much reaction in the markets but when it's off even by 0.1% the market adjusts.

Party of family values electing a zombie brothel owner. Cool!

CNN just canceled the blue wave. "The balloon is popping."

GOP may pick up another Senate seat in Florida.

Cruz has narrowed the gap with Beto and they're practically tied.

Van Jones just now on CNN: "This is heartbreaking."
