I really want a Los Angeles jersey

It’s 100% about TV revenue.  How people still don’t understand this is beyond me.  The Angels have a fat tv contract because of the name change.  It’s the tool they used to negotiate a claim to a larger market.  Fans definitely don’t want the Angels to lose any of that money because of “Anaheim.”  That TV contract is what underwrites the big payroll.  Anaheim was a stupid shitty way to preface the Angels anyway.

California is what they should be.  It’s what they are to most of us fans who are older then 25.   LA is better then Anaheim.  It’s how the team was founded.  Honestly, if you live in Orange or Irvine or Yorba Linda or  Fullerton, or Riverside,  or any number of so cal cities that are not Anaheim why on earth would you give a shit about the Anaheim name ?

And while we're at it, bring back the best logo this team every had.  The C crossing the A.  And put navy blue back into the color scheme.  The best looking uniforms this team ever had were the ones they wore from 1993-1996.  As bad a sit is to say, the ones depicted in "Angels in the Outfield".

Those uniforms were beautiful.  The perfect balance of red, white and blue with the perfect shades of red and blue.

The hats had the red bill and navy blue top, the all navy helmets were the best in the league.

Shoot, even their Spring Training uniforms with just the CA logo on the left side of the chest were good.  And the all navy Spring Training hat too.

Seriously, the best uniform.  Can't beat that.

besides being about tv ad revenue, the name change was also about recognition in foreign markets. people oversees were not likely to know about anaheim, but they sure knew about los angeles.

Fairly sure they knew about California, just sayin.   I never liked the Anaheim name personally.

I guess Arte should have went with "The Tokyo-Beijing- Moscow-Paris-London-10 minutes from Disneyland-Angels"
