Dog Turds have boom or bust offense as exhibited in the first three games. This will be their downfall.

They scored 6 runs in the first game, 5 in the second. They scored the 5th highest runs in baseball.

So... You're wrong.

I don’t know if this has been talked about. But didn’t feel like starting a new thread. But how dumb is MLB? It’s Monday and they are having playoff games in the middle of the day so people can’t watch. Could you imagine the NBA or NFL doing something this dumb? I’m not watching anyway but got an alert Houston swept and just thought why on the planet would baseball think it was a good idea to put their playoffs on when no one will watch. I can’t imagine ratings for these games are any good. End of rant.

But the Red Sox/Yankees must have the coveted primetime spot, and no other game can happen at the same time.

It's been this way as long as I can remember... it's the same opening day... so something must be working for them. I think the way they look at it is, the games will do well regionally no matter when they play, but by staggering the games they can maximize the viewership of the primetime game. With the current schedule I miss a few of the early games but I can generally watch the others if I want. If they were to play them all at generally the same time I'd only really be able to watch one.

But I think that’s where you’re wrong. Yes I remember them doing this forever. But doesn’t mean it’s right. Again I’m not paying attention or watching so I don’t care. Or don’t care as much. How is it that I am a fan of baseball but only care about the Angels? But I’m a fan of basketball and football and college football and if a game on and it’s not my team I’ll still watch because the sport is entertaining and I care what happens with teams I have no affiliation or fandom with. I know that regionally it does well but nationally this sport is dying. Playing games on a Monday at noon when most people are at work and kids are in school does not grow your sport. I love baseball but I hate what mlb is doing it’s just annoying. Oh well though. They’ve already killed my care to watch other teams play just would like to see them grow the sport. Instead I see a decline where I am at and with the kids who live around me. We used to play baseball in the street find ways to watch the playoffs in class. Idk just me ranting I guess. Carry on.

The other way to look at it is a fan can watch all three games, where if they were all played in prime time you’d miss at least one of the games.

I feel like you are projecting. As you get older things tend to naturally feel lesser than they once did, it's easy to project a decline in personal interest into something bigger. As it's currently programmed there is baseball on all day, and I love that. When the kids get out of school there is a game on. When you get out of work, there will be a game on. Maybe they should've put the Astros / Indians game on along side the Yankees / Sox game but then most people are only gona watch one of them anyway.
