He's a solid Relief prospect that was acquired along with Buttrey from the Red Sox for Ian Kinsler.

Jim Johnson -- has he sort of been the forgotten guy of the pen?

I mean he's pitched in 50 games this year - a lot -- but it does not seem that much lately.  Either that - or I've really missed a stretch a games (both a possibility).

Johnson was once a closer for Atlanta.

Now he gives up a GRAND SLAMAI.

Buttrey did ok tonight -- he's the other arm we got in the deal.  Johnson may be pitching his final games as a Halo in September.

these games are important (if not to us, then to the NL WEST - hate to see the Halos pen looking so awful.

Anderson walked the first guy in the inning and then he was replaced by Jerez...he gave up two walks, still shitty.

We got a solid SP prospect from HOU for Maldonado who's pitching in AA right now
