The thing is, the Marte Partay is something akin to a Mormon kids high school party where they pray and shit and have actual fruit punch and there’s like 3 parental chaperones.

This was one of the great AW stupid takes.  The team was pathetic and Marte was decent for like 80 AB’s and there fore <AW logics> Marte was good.  Despite all evidence for his entire career indicating that, no Jefrey Marte is not good. It’s similar to how a bunch of us  pretended that Johnny Giovatella was potentially a viable major league 2B.  Or that Kyle Kubitza was a legitimate prospect.  We were desperate and our team was as I said, very pathetic.
